Microsoft has officially made Copilot even more accessible for small and medium-sized businesses - and honestly, this might be the most SMB-friendly AI announcement they’ve made to date.
At Microsoft Ignite 2025, they introduced Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, a new version of Copilot designed specifically for organisations on Microsoft 365 Business plans with fewer than 300 users. Same Copilot capabilities. Lower barrier to entry. Friendlier price point.
🌍 Available Worldwide - And Designed for SMB's
From December 1st, 2025, Copilot Business will be available globally. In the US, it’s launching at $21 per user per month. For the UK, Microsoft hasn’t released SKU pricing yet, and there’s no confirmation on how it will compare regionally. However, if you were to simply convert $21 using today’s exchange rate, it would land somewhere in the mid-teens in pounds (£) - though the actual UK price could be different once Microsoft finalises regional SKUs.
What’s important for now though, is the direction: Copilot is being intentionally positioned as a more accessible - and more affordable - option for SMBs worldwide.
🤖 Same Copilot. Easier Requirements
Copilot Business is the same Microsoft 365 Copilot you know - no reduced features, no “lite” version, no compromises.
The only difference is easier requirements. If you already have a Microsoft 365 Business plan (Basic, Standard, or Premium), you’re eligible:
No complex licensing adjustments.
No high minimum spend.
Lower barrier to entry.
A straightforward way for SMBs to adopt Copilot without hurdles!
📦 New Bundles Coming for Simpler Purchasing
Microsoft is also making it easier to buy and deploy Copilot by offering
new bundled options:
Business Basic + Copilot Business
Business Standard + Copilot Business
Business Premium + Copilot Business
These become available on December 1st - making procurement much simpler for SMBs who want everything in one package.
It’s a small detail, but an important one: fewer moving parts, fewer SKUs to juggle, and a clearer path to rollout.
